New Moon in Gemini: What Do You Love and Why?

As we enter into a new moon cycle in Gemini, we start a new relationship with communication, information, and or understanding of love and value. What/Who do you love? Why?

Today is when the Sun and Moon come together making the night sky dark as the moon starts its rebirthing cycle in a new sign.

Moon cycles last 28 days AND also 6-12 months, depending on what part of the moon's cycle one is focused on. If you count from one new moon to the next, than that takes 28 days to complete. In that timing, the new cycles of the moon move through the 12 zodiac signs.

If one focuses on the SIGN the moon is in during a new moon and tracks the cycle of that SIGN from new to full back to new again that is a 6-12 month timeline happening that helps one work on the themes of that sign through the house that sign rules over in your personal chart.

In Gemini words, thoughts, and communication are front and center. Ruled by Mercury and Virgo, currently Mercury is ALSO in the sign of Gemini along with Venus (the planet of love, money, justice, worth, value) and Jupiter (the planet of expansion, abundance, philosophy, faith).

This new moon is about planting new seeds around our understandings of love, justice, and value as Jupiter is expanding the information we are receiving around:

• what do we love?

• who do we love?

• what and who do we put and place value and worth in?

• whose knowledge/facts/data are we using to determine love, value, justice, and worth?

As a time of new beginnings we are being asked individually and collectively to imagine and speak into existence the types of relationships, systems, structures, and world we want to LIVE in.

So what does it mean to LIVE and not just survive?

Think about this time as the beginning of a new story that you are being asked to author.

With Jupiter being in the sign of its detriment in Gemini for a year we will have an abundance of information being thrown at us from different locations (think government, corporations, AI, news outlets of all kinds and sorts, blogs, content creation, etc..) requiring a greater faith and trust in Self and your knowing.

For me, this new moon is reminding up about the duality of Mercury as the planet that rules over communication, information, travel, and technology. Because Mercury is ruled by Air (Gemini) and Earth (Virgo), we must learn to marry our mental logic(s) and body knowing to full come into the energy of discernment.

And this is how we build new worlds in the present. We have to believe our reality first, embody that knowing, and then dare to dream of new way(s) forward.

The moon is not the only planet we use to track time and the timing of the cycles of life. The outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter) also play a big role in this collectively AND individually. They mark various generations and give insight into what that a generations lessons are/will be.

During the ages of 36-45 these outer planets start to also get very personal, asking us all to face what it means to be human and our responsibility in maintaining that humanity.
